Garlic Parmesan Roasted Shrimp

Ingredients :

1 angel food cake
1 (16 ounce) container Cool Whip
8 ounces cream cheese
1 cup sugar, divided
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 quart fresh strawberries, sliced
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 (3 ounce) package strawberry Jell-O gelatin dessert
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup water

Préparations :

  1. Prepare the Angel Food Cake:
    Slice the angel food cake into 1-inch cubes and set aside.
  2. Make the Cream Cheese Mixture:
    In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese, 1/2 cup of sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Layer the Dessert:
    In a trifle dish or large glass serving bowl, layer the ingredients starting with angel food cake cubes, followed by the cream cheese mixture, and then sliced strawberries. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of strawberries on top.
  4. Prepare the Strawberry Glaze:
    In a small saucepan, combine the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, cornstarch, strawberry Jell-O, lemon juice, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes glossy.
  5. Pour the Glaze over the Dessert:
    Once the glaze is ready, pour it evenly over the top layer of strawberries in the trifle dish, covering the entire surface of the dessert.
  6. Chill and Serve:
    Refrigerate the Strawberry Heaven dessert for at least 4 hours or until set. Before serving, top with dollops of Cool Whip and additional sliced strawberries for garnish, if desired.
