Flavorful and Easy Chinese

Ingredients :


2 large zucchinis, sliced into half-moons
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, minced
2 scallions, chopped, white and green parts separated
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional, can substitute with more soy sauce for a vegetarian version)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon sugar (optional, enhances flavor)
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Salt to taste
Sesame seeds for garnish

Préparations :


Prepare the Zucchini:
Wash the zucchini and slice it into half-moon shapes about 1/4 inch thick.
Heat the Oil:
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Sauté Aromatics:
Add the minced garlic, ginger, and the white parts of the scallions to the hot oil. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds or until aromatic.
Cook the Zucchini:
Add the sliced zucchini to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes or until the zucchini is tender-crisp. The high heat will help the zucchini cook quickly and retain a nice crunch.
Add Sauces and Seasonings:
Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sesame oil, sugar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well to ensure the zucchini slices are evenly coated with the sauces. Cook for another minute to let the flavors meld together.
Adjust Seasonings:
Taste and adjust the seasoning with a little salt if needed, keeping in mind that the soy sauce adds saltiness.
Serve:
Transfer the cooked zucchini to a serving dish. Garnish with the green parts of the scallions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
Serve hot as a side dish or pair with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
